The project arose from the idea of combining elements of coffee culture with aesthetics normally attributed to haute couture. A bag that takes a common element such as jute and combines it with other materials such as leather.

The colors used are part of the elements of the coffee landscape, the green of the mountains, the red of the beans ready to be harvested, the coffee not only from the roasted beans, but also from the fertile land that this region possesses. These colors were also captured in the jute with horizontal and vertical lines that allude to these large luxury houses that frequently use them, and the Colombian Coffee certificate as a direct relation and sign of the quality of the product.
Its rounded shape arises from the abstraction of the coffee bean. Both the bean just taken from the coffee plantation as well as the bean already roasted and ready to be ground. Reference was also taken from the Carriel, a bag of great popularity and tradition in the region of Antioquia, part of the coffee growing region.
We worked from an initial sketch, where you can see the intention of the front jute pattern and its colors, and the general shape that was intended to design. It is possible to identify the reference we had for the carriel. The modeling allowed experimenting and reaching new geometries and shapes that give the object a valuable aesthetic without losing its original reference and concept.
